Vacation Pics are Finally Up!!!!!

Here are the vacation pictures I have been promising for weeks now. I still don't have this blog thing quite figured so my pictures are on here chronologically backwards!!!! I think it will be okay though!!!Here is Maggie. Her and Brian came and picked me up from the airport!!!! She is wearing the Minnie Mouse hat and holding the stuffed animal that we got her at Disney world. I think she liked them!!!


Here are Me, Emily and Mom on "the cedar chest". This chest is in my aunt's house and everyone that comes to visit has to get their picture taken on it before they leave. We actually have pictures of my Great-great grandparents sitting on this chest as well as quite a few of my relatives and ancestors!!!
Here I am standing by a shrimp boat at the harbor near the sea food market we ate at. I was trying so hard to find a shrimp boat captain (like Forest Gump) to take my picture with, but I didn't have any luck, so I settled for a shrimp boat!!!

I was chosen as an extra in an Indiana Jones show at Disney. There I am 2nd from the left. I was a middle eastern townswoman, at this point we were supposed to be acting like we were walking on coals. They offered me a permanent position in the show but I opted to come back to Charlestown Indiana and lead a normal life... haha... kidding, but it was a lot of fun!!!

HEADED HOME!!!!

Hello Blogworld!!! It's been a while since I've updated... We were at my aunt's in Jacksonville and they don't have wireless internet so I couldn't get connected to update you on the happenings of my vacation!!!! This is just going to be a brief blog, we are sitting in the airport in Jacksonville and getting ready to board our plane to head home!!!!
This is Crocky... He's the alligator that lives in the retention pound behind my aunt Elaine's house. This picture was litteraly taken from her backyard with my not so great little camera!!! He is HUGE!!!! Every morning we would get up and look for Crocky... and every morning he was there!!! He'd basically stay in this same spot all day and sunbathe. I guess he never ate!!!

This is the Cobra towl that was waiting on my bed for me at Elaine's. She always makes these when people come to visit... I thought he was sooo cute!!!

This is Elaine and Mike's pool in thier back yard!!!! It's closed in by a screen to keep Crocky out!!

And who can go to Florida without getting a picture of a beautiful palm tree??? This is in Elaine and Mike's back yard!!! I LOVE FLORIDA!!!!!

We had a wonderful time, but I'm kind of excited to go home, I'm missing Brian!!!!

FLORIDA HERE WE COME!!!

Mom, Emily and I are going to Jacksonville, FL for Emily and My spring break. My mom's aunt Elaine lives there so we will be staying with her.

Our plane left Louisville this morning at 9:10am, that means we had to leave my house at 7am. Thats a little too early for both Emily and I, but we managed.

Due to the security stuff we got to the airport way too early and had to wait about an hour before our plane even got to Louisville. Naturally we had the loudest, most obnoxios 40 something cell phone user sitting behind us. I beleive the man was gay, which isn't a problem at all, that is just an important detail needed for you to understand the conversation my 14 year old sister, my mom and I overheard, at 8am, in the middle of a crowded airport. Here it is the best I can remember:

"Hey, sorry I didn't get to see you as much as I liked... yea I just didn't feel up to it. I didn't even see my mom much, I told her i was sick which wasn't a total lie..... Well next time I come up I'm bringing so-and-so, and my future wife..... yea she knows, she knows, shes cool with it, I figure it's the only way I'll ever be able to have children!!! Okay well those 2 pills I gave you, take them. One is to help you sleep and the other is if you feel like you're dragging at work... Yea the one is a Loratab and the other is just a Z, yea a Zantax."

This conversation went on for a while and I will refrain from going into much more detail, but as you can imagine all 3 of us were about to die from trying not to laugh!!! He ended the conversation with a great big "LOVEYOUMEANIT"!!!! That was a bit much and poor Emily just lost it!!!!

Naturally when we boarded the plane he was 1 seat ahead of us and right across the isle. The flight attendants came through and got our drink orders. He got 2 vodkas, a can of orange juice and 2 cups. There wasn't anyone sitting in the row with him!!! He drank it all before I could get my little plastic cup of Diet Coke down!!!!

Now we are sitting in Birmingham for our 1 hour layover before we head down to Jacksonville. This week has a lot in store for us. A day at Disney World, a day or 2 at the beach, and lots and lots of shopping!!!! Stay tuned for updates!!! Have a great day.... LOVEYOUMEANIT!!!

Here's to a great weekend!!!!

Just droppin in for another update on "The Wonderful WOrld of Audrey".

Brian and Matt are currently pulling the transmission out of a truck and I am patiently waiting for them to GET DONE so we can eat some lunch!!!! However I've learned that quick is not in Brian and Matt's vocabulary, so I may be waiting a while!!!

I've got tons of family in this week and we all went out to eat last night at Buckhead's. It was only the 2nd exposure to a HUGE group of my family Brian has experienced! This could turn a lot of people off... My family is crazy!!! They tend to be a little loud, the throw paper wads in the middle of dinner, and it's not uncommon to see a glass of beer sitting infront of one or more of my uncles. Lucky for me... Brian loved them, and they loved him. (Ofcourse why wouldn't they???)

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, thats kind of another reason for out dinner outing. Brian was so sweet, he went and bought her a card and everything. Then on the way to dinner it fell on to his floorboard and he couldn't find it when he got to Buckhead's!!! Bless his heart. Then on the way home he found it!!!! So Mom, you'll be gettin a belated birthday card!!!

An update for those of you who also follow Megan's blog. Her and Lincoln are home and doing great.... Megan is adjusting to motherhood amazingly (who'd be surprised at that??) Keep them in your thoughts and prayers!!!

A quick shout out before I eat some lunch, GO CARDS!!!! Even though I'll be working tonight during the game, the girl I work with and I are bringing a TV and incase that won't work, a radio so we'll be cheerin them on!!!!!

Dinner tonight at Mamaw and Papaw's. Im sure Papaw will con Brian into helping him put some part on the T-Bird, and bribe him with a trip through the woods in the Jeep.... Thats what we call cheap help!!!!

The boys are finally ready to eat lunch!!! Can't keep them waiting!!!!

WE HAVE A BABY!!!!!

Well... WE don't have a baby, but Megan and Chris do!!!! Lincoln Michael Birke!!! He was born this morning at 4:11 am after 22 hours of agonizing labor. He was 9 pounds 3 ounces and 22 inches long. Basically Megan popped out a toddler... He was actually walking himself down the hallways of the hospital!!! Okay, maybe I'm exagerating a little, but what I'm getting at is that he was a big boy!!! And most definately the cutest baby in the world!!!!

I got to the hospital around 11:00am yesterday. It was a long day!!!! Brian came in the evening because he had a lot of stuff to do, but he still didn't miss much!!!! By about midnight all of us were so tired we were delerious. We were laughing at things that weren't even funny!!! When he was finally born everyone was so relieved that both baby Lincoln and mommy Megan were healthy and okay!!!
